Here at Constant Forward Progress we want you to know us. The real, the raw, the unfiltered US! We value and love each relationship we get to have, but at the end of the day...our clients are more than just clients, they are our family.
With that being said, we wanted to
let you in on a secret we've been keeping...
Bret and I are over-joyed to break the news that we are adding a NEW member to the CFP family, the only hitch is...this person won't be joining us until an estimated due date of May 18th...because...
I hope that you'll all join us during this time of change, share with us your advice, knowledge and good thoughts as we move through this journey with you. In case you're wondering (because we know you all are!) I'll continue to share the schedule with Bret as we have been, but may adjust my coaching style as needed. But I'm looking forward to sharing this journey with each and every one of you!
As the first few weeks went by it got harder and harder to hide our news. One day we had to "rearrange" the gym schedule so Bret could make it to our first ultrasound appt! To those who shuffled their schedule for us, thank you! ;)
We headed to the hospital, put the goop on my belly and saw our baby for the first time. The baby was 8 weeks and had a very strong fluttering heart beat! We left feeling relieved, content and that much more EXCITED!!
Now let's get down to business...
I'll will be starting a blog about my pregnancy as I continue to work out using bodyweight calisthenics. I will be honest, up front and I hope that by sharing my experience I will encourage others out there to keep up the good fight towards overall health & well-being!
During this journey so far we've loved checking out our baby's progress through the BabyCenter or The Bump app. If you're pregnant and haven't found these apps, download them NOW. They give you weekly updates, relative sizes of your growing baby by the week and lots of articles, videos and blogs to read. If nothing else, it just feels like some extra support when you can't talk to a lot of people about your news!
For now I've been continuing my strength training workouts as I have in the past, after clearing things with my doctor I was happy to know I could keep on doing what I'm doing! Sometimes I find myself needing to take an extra breath but I feel strongly that in order to maintain my strength I HAVE to keep putting in the effort every single week! Other days, when I feel like I have extra energy, I head to the GFU track for some lighter sprints or some running/walking intervals. I am hopeful that once most of the yucky-sickness passes I'll hopefully have a little bit more energy for some more cardio! Until then, if I know I've tried my hardest and my best each and every day -- then that's ALL I need in order to sleep well at night (or at least kind of well due to the lovely increase bathroom visits!)
We celebrated our exciting 12 week marker during our Halloween weekend with some friends. We wondered how to share this announcement, so it only seemed natural to find some super cheesy & matching costumes! We cannot wait to see what the future holds & until we meet our little love, we'll savor each and every moment of this journey!
We cannot wait to meet you little love, you have NO idea how much you've been prayed for and loved already -- not to mention how many other people already adore you!
